WSET LEVEL 2
AWARD IN WINES

Over six evenings 6.30pm - 9.30pm 

26th Oct, 2nd, 9th, 18th, 23rd and 25th November 2026 
 

Providing in-depth global wine knowledge supported by tasting over 40 wines samples from around the world. Exam taken on Wednesday 25th November at the end of the class.

£595.00

Fees include: Study materials, use of tasting glasses, all wine samples, 18 hours of interactive WSET tuition with Luisa and WSET examination (plus globally recognised WSET certificate)

The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is a beginner to intermediate level qualification. On successful completion of this exciting and structured course you will be:

  • A more confident wine taster

  • Able to describe and compare the styles of wines produced from internationally and regionally important grape varieties

  • Know how to interpret wine labels from the main wine producing regions of the world

  • How to store, serve, taste and pair wines to get the best out of every glass

​

This qualification is broken down into:

  • 18 hours of delivery time 

  • 13 hours of personal study and revision


  • A 1 hour examination comprised of 50 multiple choice questions

  • How the style and quality of the wine is influenced by environmental factors, grape-growing, winemaking and maturation options, looking at eight principal grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio/Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah/Shiraz

  • Key wine producing regions of the world and the style and quality of wines made from 22 regionally important grape varieties & produced in over 70 geographical indications

  • How grape varieties and winemaking processes influence key styles of sparkling wines & fortified wines
