Gain the internationally recognised Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET)  wine qualification from the comfort of your living room - this beginners wine course will empower you to sip, serve, pair and simply enjoy wine! Remote Invigilation is included so you can take the straightforward exam from home. (If you prefer to sit the exam in my classroom in London Queensway later on in the year this can be arranged).

Fees include: WSET L1 study book sent in post, 6 hours live WSET tuition via zoom with Luisa, WSET examination, internationally recognised WSET qualification certificate and lapel pin for those who pass.

Wine are not included but my hand selected tasting case of 6 bottles of wine can be purchased for £65 at check out (includes delivery to UK addresses).  If you prefer to purchase your own wines a recommended list will be sent to you.

Over three live zoom sessions (that will be recorded so you can catch up if you miss one) we will cover wine tasting, identifying wine styles, key stages in grape growing and wine making, storing and serving wine and food and wine pairing principles. No previous knowledge of wine is necessary to attend but good internet access is vital. Please bring along:

  • 6 wine glasses, black grapes, salt, lemon, milk chocolate, chilli crisps/chorizo, cheddar or any other hard cheese.

The straightforward 45 minute multiple choice exam consist of 30 questions. The pass mark is 70% and achievable! Please note the exam date and time are fixed and will take place in your own home with 'Remote Invigilation'. To be booked onto this exam on 12th November bookings need to be made by 22nd Oct. Any bookings made after this will be booked onto another date that suits you, WSET needs three weeks notice of the desired date you'd like to book.  As long as you have a device with webcam and microphone to take your exam on (such as a laptop or Macbook) and another device to record you (a smart phone or tablet) you are all set! (full details and support will be provided).
